More than 50 Morgan Music customers attended the Presonus Recording Workshop last night (Sept 13), at the Morgan Music Showroom in Lebanon. Presonus representative Michael Canning demonstrated Presonus Studio One software along with the Presonus Studio 16.4.2 Digital Mixer, which can be used in 'live' mixing applications as well as for recording. Attendees were entertained by Shane Keller and Jason Hildebrand of Phat Mike and the Bartenders provided drum, guitar and vocals , along with Shawn Wilkey on bass while Canning recorded the five tracks of audio. Canning easily mixed the tracks, added EQ and Compression from Studio One’s impressive preset library and presto…we had a master ready to burn to CD!

It became very apparent that Presonus re-designed digital recording world with a seamless flow of hardware to computer to software. Most impressive is that fact that, with Presonus Studio One Software you can turn your computer into a full-fledged recording studio for only a couple a’ hundred dollars. In the ‘old days’ of analog recording, the same capabilities would have cost thousands or maybe tens of thousands of dollars! Add a Presonus Digital Mixer and you’ll be able to record 16 or 24 tracks of audio simultaneously, while at the same time using the mixer for ‘live’ audio.
