The Bourgeois OMCE Soloist Downeast Series pairs Dana Bourgeois’ renowned design philosophy with the precision craftsmanship of Eastman Guitars, resulting in a world class instrument built entirely in Beijing using Bourgeois voicing techniques and specifications. This collaborative approach delivers the unmistakable Bourgeois tonal signature at a remarkable value, with every detail shaped for responsiveness, balance, and long term musical growth.

An Aged Tone Sitka spruce top gives the guitar an already opened, mature voice, producing quick attack, shimmering highs, and a warm, woody midrange that feels broken in from the first note. Indian rosewood back and sides add depth and power, anchoring the sound with rich overtones, piano like bass, and a clear, singing top end. The OM body with Venetian cutaway and 14 fret neck joint makes this a versatile performer, equally comfortable for fingerstyle nuance or articulate flatpicking, while the 25.5 inch scale length and 1 3/4 inch nut width provide excellent string tension and spacing for modern players.

Visually, the Soloist appointments elevate the instrument with understated elegance. Ziricote body binding and a matching ziricote headstock veneer frame the guitar in dramatic dark figuring, complemented by wood rings at the rosette and refined Soloist top purfling. A DB signature backstrip adds a subtle Bourgeois hallmark along the center seam. The square headstock with volute carries the classic mother of pearl Bourgeois logo, while the ebony fingerboard and rectangular bridge bring visual contrast and tonal focus. Abalone Diamond and Squares fingerboard inlays shimmer against the dark ebony, giving the guitar a sophisticated, traditional flair.
