The Red Diamond Vintage model arose after studying the flexibility of a number early 1920’s F-style mandolins. This culmination of information proved to be useful for controlling the voicing of new mandolins. With very promising results in the early batches, this project has moved forward in recent years to the study of individual instruments — the best of the best. Featuring hot hide glue construction and hand rubbed varnish finish, each batch of Red Diamond Vintage mandolins is unique and offers players the opportunity to play a new mandolin with a very similar sound, look and feel to the older mandolins that are now collector’s items.
